September 2006 – October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Swarovski North America has announced its role as a principal sponsor of The Libby Ross Foundation’s Yoga Program for Survivors of Breast Cancer.

The Libby Ross Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to making a significant difference in the lives of women afflicted with breast cancer.

Since 2003, Swarovski North America has donated USD 60’000 from the sales of the Pink Hope Brooch to support The Libby Ross Foundation programmes. This year, Swarovski North America is donating USD 20’000 from the proceeds of the Pink Hope Brooch to support the Libby Ross yoga programme. Research indicates that yoga has a positive influence on women who have undergone treatment for breast cancer.

“I know first hand the devastation breast cancer can bring to patients and their families,” said Lori Ross, Chairman & Co-Founder of The Libby Ross Foundation. “[…] Swarovski’s generous donation will help to fund a programme that will empower women to rise above the disease and enrich their lives.”
