Support Programs
The Foundation has developed two unique support programs for women with breast cancer to enable them to better cope with the harsh physical and emotional tolls of the disease.
The Libby Ross Foundation Pink Ribbon Kit provides gift bags, distributed by trained volunteers, to women recently diagnosed with breast cancer. The program is currently offered at New York Presbyterian Hospital and The Comprehensive Breast Center at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital. The bags contain comfort items and self-help tools that women with cancer find helpful during treatment as well as valuable information on available resources, medical and emotional issues.
Yoga Program for Breast Cancer Survivors offers FREE weekly classes, quarterly workshops and semi annual weekend retreats for survivors of breast cancer and other women's cancers. The Foundation has partnered with OM yoga center in New York to offer breast cancer survivors an opportunity to bond with other women who have had or who are currently being treated for the disease. Participants in the yoga workshop focus on breathing techniques and gentle movement to help integrate body and mind.
Through these programs, we have helped thousands of people afflicted with breast cancer across the United States. With the help of your generous donations we are looking forward to expanding these programs to help many more women.
If you would like more information on any of these programs including upcoming schedules and registration, please e-mail us.
