WOMEN EMPOWERING WOMEN THROUGH FASHION, MEDIA AND MUSIC - Second Annual Women Empowering Women Gala
The event was held Saturday, September 27th, 2008 at the beautiful Llardo Boutique in New York City, honoring Ana Ortiz - star of the hit series UGLY BETTY.Celebrated Actress and Musician and previous recipient of the WEW award, Vanessa L. Williams, presented the award to Ortiz. The star studded evening was hosted by Glow International Group and Lladro who donated 10% of all sales from the night of the event to The Libby Ross Foundation Yoga Program

Observation Deck at Rockefeller Center
Swarovski, the world leader in cut crystal, The Libby Ross Foundation, OM yoga and the Top of the Rock Observation Deck at Rockefeller Center partnered together to help win the fight against breast cancer in honor of Mother’s Day.
Forty mothers, daughters and sisters who have been touched by breast cancer were brought together at a Sunrise Yoga class set against the breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline on Thursday, May 8th, 2008 at the Top of the Rock Observation Deck at Rockefeller Center.
The gentle and restorative OM yoga class, taught by OM certified yoga teachers,focused on breathing techniques and gentle movements that helped integrate body and mind and allowed breast cancer survivors of all stages and ages to share this unique, empowering experience with their loved ones while enjoying the sweeping 360-degree views of New York City from Top of the Rock.
In addition, a group of creative celebrities joined the cause to raise additional funds by decorating yoga bags with Swarovski jewels that were listed on eBay with eBay Giving Works, the dedicated program for charity listings, from May 5-15, 2008 at (www.ebay.com/swarovski). Celebrities included Courtney Cox Arquette, Miley Cyrus and Martina McBride. Global Design Concepts, Inc. generously donated the yoga bags.
